How to make homemade burger bread


  • Lukewarm water: one cup
  • Butter: 2 tablespoons (soft)
  • Eggs: 1 piece
  • Sugar: a teaspoon
  • Salt: a teaspoon
  • Flour: 3 and a half cups
  • Yeast: a tablespoon
  • Butter: 3 tablespoons (melted)
  • Sesame: 3 tablespoons

The way to prepare

  1. Mix the water, sugar, flour, butter, salt, baking powder and an egg, either by hand by kneading or with an electric mixer, until it becomes a cohesive, smooth and formable.
  2. Cover the bowl with cling film and leave it in a warm place for 1 to 2 hours until it ferments and doubles in size.
  3. Cut the dough into 8 sections and shape them into balls and put them in a baking sheet lined with buttered paper, cover the baking sheet and leave to rest for an hour also, until the fermentation is complete
  4. Grease the face of the dough with melted butter and a pinch of sesame and put it in the oven at 375 degrees for 18 minutes until it turns golden, then remove it from the oven and grease it again with butter and let cool
  5. You can use it for burgers or any type of sandwich filling.
