The decision of the Professionals’ Union against Muhammad Ramadan on the grounds of his accusation of normalization with Israel
On January 1, 2021, the Representative Union of Professions in Egypt released a statement regarding the investigation of the late artist Muhammad Ramadan in the context of his charge of normalizing with Israel, due to his image with a famous Israeli artist. Muhammad Kamal Salam, the investigation has been preserved and the period of detention to which he was recently subjected has been satisfied.
As a reminder that the Egyptian Federation of Art Unions decided, on Monday, November 23, 2020, to suspend the artist Mohamed Ramadan from his work until further notice, after he appeared with Israeli celebrities during a party in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, accusing him of “normalizing with Israel and violating the union’s decision.”
